Using Klimper (AU) with Logic Pro

Add Klimper as a Midi Effect

  1. In Logic, select (or create) a software instrument track you want to use to playback your chords with.
  2. In it's channel strip click on MIDI FX and select Audio Unit > polydigm > Klimper Main.

You can now play Klimper's chords through your software instrument. If your software instrument doesn't get triggered initially, it might be needed to arm it.

Additional Tracks

  1. To use Klimper with additional tracks, click Add New Track in Klimper's Main Plugin.
  2. In Logic, select (or create) a software instrument track you want to use to playback your new track with.
  3. In it's channel strip click on MIDI FX and select Audio Unit > polydigm > Klimper Track.

You can now create melodies and basslines within Klimper, playing through your software instrument. Again, it might be needed to arm your software instrument track initially.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find the Klimper Plug-Ins

If you can not find the Klimper Plug-Ins in MIDI-FX > Audio Units > polydigm, Logic might need to re-scan installed plug-ins:

Select Logic Pro > Settings > Plug-In Manager from the menu, and click on "Full Audio Unit Reset". After that, you will need to close Logic Pro and restart it manually.
